Modern Day Decon Training Course 

Participants will be instructed in the principles and operational application of Modern Decontaminants and tools to make decon simpler and more effective on transportation incidents. Decon processes have been relatively unchanged for 100+ years, this course explores how we can be more effective and efficient in Decon. Discussions include Decon for Synthetic Opioids, CWA's, BWA's, TIC/TIM's, and other Emerging Threats in transport. Other topics discussed will include decon in cold vs. warm weather, post-fire decon, disinfection, and decon with a smaller more efficient footprint. Recommended SOG's will be presented, as well as integration of MDD into existing SOGs and agency operating procedures. Participants will demonstrate their knowledge during hands on practical exercises involving transportation incidents.

Each of these concepts are part of a System that will guide responders in the proper Decon application and type, to increase effectiveness and reduce potential exposure. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: (up to 24 attendants) 
This course is intended for firefighters, Haz Mat teams, police officers, EMS agencies, government employees, military personnel, hospital staff and private industry emergency responders and professionals who could be asked to perform decon on a potential hazardous material emergency or job including a rail line or highway incident.

This 8-hour Course Can be customized to Hospitals, Industrial Clients, Law Enforcement and anyone else who may require Decon as part of their jobs.
